“I hadn’t paid for mortgage advice before so I was uncertain about the value I would get. But having reverted to my lenders SVR my payments had rocketed and I needed to arrange a mortgage quickly. So I went to Oadby Mortgages.

During the first meeting, Brian identified a number of products that were not available on the open market. The rates were significantly lower than the ones I’d found on line and there were no lender fees.

When I decided on a product, there were, sadly a few issues with the lender. The lender’s agents under-valued my property and the mortgage offer fell short of my borrowing needs.

As a lay person I would have given up at this point. But Brian used his expertise to appeal the valuation, resulting in an apology from the lender and a full mortgage offer being extended which significantly reduced my monthly payments.

I was already very happy at this point, but Brian pointed out that the new lender’s delay had left me out of pocket.
